The Ballet Folklórico Quetzalli is a group composed of young people who love the traditions of their people expressed through music, songs, and dances characteristic of different ethnic groups. They create their interpretations through technical formation, bibliographical study, and ritual observation.
Established in 1985, this outstanding company has delighted audiences from around the globe. Their visual fiesta of culture and folklore features many regional dances of old México, in particular, their home state of Veracruz (birthplace of the world famous "La Bamba"). The music, performed live on authentic stringed instruments, punctuates the meticulous movement, colorful clothing and perfect pulse established by the dancers. Earning standing ovations from Cuba to Malaysia, Quetzalli proves they are one of México?s most popular exports!
In this special performance, Quetzalli will be joined by Mexican Heritage Plaza?s own folklórico dance troupe, Los Lupeños de San José.
