Commonwealth Club Silicon Valley and Mexican Heritage Plaza present Rose Castillo Guilbault author of "Farmworker’s Daughter: Growing Up Mexican in America" in conversation with Dr. Francisco Jimenez.

In Rose Guilbault’s memoir, she discusses her life as a daughter of immigrant farm workers in a rural California community rocked by tensions surrounding Cesar Chavez’s farm labor movement and deeply divided between anti-Vietnam War activists and patriots. She will share her view of the immigrant experience from a female and bicultural perspective.

Guilbault is well known in the Bay Area as a former columnist for the San Francisco Chronicle and as past editorial and public affairs director for KGO-TV. She is also the chair of the Commonwealth Club Board of Governors.
