Daniel W. Ballesteros - Chairperson
Dan Ballesteros is a Hiring Shareholder in the law firm of Hoge, Fenton, Jones and Apel in San Jose. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy from Stanford University and a Juris Doctor degree from the Boalt Hall School of Law, at the University of California in Berkeley. In his law practice, Ballesteros handles disputes arising out of the purchase and sale of real property, as well as disputes related to the ownership of real property. He represents clients in all phases of litigation and arbitration. He has successfully defended owners and brokers against allegations of nondisclosure, misrepresentation and breach of fiduciary duties. In addition he has represented property owners in all manner of disputes, including specific performance actions, partition actions and tort claims.
Michael A. Canul
For over 16 years, Mr. Canul has led an exemplary career in the fields of accounting and finance for various public, private and not-for-profit foundations. Prior to the successful growth of De Computis, Mr. Canul also excelled in the corporate arena with firms such as Public Allies (a national non-profit organization), ExxonMobil Corporation (the largest publicly traded oil company), I.P.A. Inc. (the largest Mid-West consulting and tax firm), and RE/MAX Today (the largest real estate brokerage firm in its market segment). Within these organizations he has held at least one of the following positions: CFO, COO, Controller and Senior Analyst.
